Photographs taken between July 2018 and June 2019 were taken thanks to a generous grant provided by the Indiana Arts Commission. Insect photographs taken during 2023 are partially funded by The Puffin Foundation.
The Calumet Region is drained by the Grand Calumet and Little Calumet River, covering portions of Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. It encompasses numerous natural areas and two National Parks, Pullman National Monument and Indiana Dunes National Park.
